Marine Science - Physical Oceanography - Software
Many of the pollution tracking, forensic and public inquiry cases we have undertaken have used DyGeo software. This is a numerical simulation of tidal streams and their interaction with meteorology. The simulation is specially designed to handle inshore tidal streams and works for smooth and rugged coastlines. The simulation includes a module to calculate tidal heights - the main driver - that can be set up for any location. DyGeo derivatives can be assembled for a variety of applications. Other physical marine or fluvial phenomena can also be simulated, including sediment transport - cohesive and non-cohesive. Cohesive sediment transport is a complex dynamic which no one has yet created a perfect solution.
